Nicola Curry

Nicola is a choreographer and dancer with extensive experience in performance and teaching, specialising in the use of dance in community settings. Following her MA she returned to Belfast in 2001 and established Maiden Voyage, a dance company which aims to promote and raise the profile of dance and participation in it.

Notably, at the time of writing, she is working on the choreography for Solstice a six-minute section of the Opening Ceremony for the Special Olympics World Games in June 2003 for Open Arts. This involved over 300 performers from day care centres from the host towns in Northern Ireland.

Infinity Box

"It is taken from The Infinity Box, a duet exploring illusions of infinity in the universe performed at the Old Museum arts centre in March 2003. Choreographed by Nicola Curry with Dylan Quinn as part of Expanding Universes, a community dance project by Maiden Voyage to introduce new groups to the art form."
