Night gown

Date: 2003
Medium: charcoal on paper
Size: 76 x 56 cms
Inspiration: "A well-worn nightdress belonging to my mother found its way to me in the post. It hung hauntingly in the studio. I keep looking at it and drawing it. It's about many feelings of comfort, loss, absence, love. I wanted the drawing to speak of fragility and strength, ephemerality and a very real physicality." - Sharon Kelly
