Yvonne graduated with a Degree in Fine Art from the Crawford College in 1999. During her time there she began experimenting with digital print alongside traditional printmaking techniques, film photography and painting. She is currently preparing for a solo exhibition of painting and print. In 2001 she completed an MA in Multimedia at DCU and has extensive knowledge in digital video, sound and image manipulation, web site and CD-ROM production. She is working as a freelance web and graphic designer and has recently joined the National Gallery of Ireland as an Outreach Programme Artist - a programme of workshops encouraging children to respond to paintings in the collection by creating their own work.

"Part of a series of large scale semi-abstract paintings which explore the idea of energy moving within and projected around the body. This energy may manifest as balance/harmony within or the opposite, it may be projected into surroundings or effected by them. It may also draw, or grow in response to connections between people. The careful use of color within the paintings attempts to give this energy it's emotional character. The series is influenced strongly by an 8 month period spent in Asia, to particular events which transpired during that period and in response to ideas of spirituality and harmony within the body and with the environment which are present in the beliefs and practices there." - Yvonne Cullivan
