Kicked off this artists response by making several plaster moulds that will allow me to create numerous identical cast ceramic elements. The process of plaster casting is quite technical and very precise. The moulds are made in three parts which are then put together and secured with a large piece of rubber. Liquid clay is then poured into the mould and allowed to form the required thickness, the excess is then poured away and the item is left to dry. Several of these cast elements will be placed together to form constructed pieces.
