Inside Angela's Studio.
October 01, 2004
We have just had our first meeting to kick off our project again here in St. Coleman's, Laurencetown.
I have been working in a studio on Rathlin Island this Summer and the image shown is one of the final pieces I made before leaving the island. This term in my Belfast studio I will be carrying on from the work started during the Summer.
I am working on linen and silk , with embroidery, painting and 'cutwork'
The ideas that are inspiring me at present are those of 'Memory', Irish women's work in historyand society and I also find the fabrics themselves very inspiring .
Will keep you all updated as I go along, Best wishes to all, from Angela & all
at St. Coleman's.
